A Peek Inside Our Atrium

Equipped with flashlights, rather than lamps, the children help the Woman of the Bible to find her lost coin.

"Hurry! Hurry!" she pleads. "I have to find my lost coin."

The lost coin is found and a little boy proudly turns it over to its relieved mistress.

"Or what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a lamp, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she find it? 9 And when she hath found it, she called together her friends and neighbors, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the piece which I had lost. 10 Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents." ~ Luke 15:8-10

And everyone rejoices and sings praises and claps High 5's.

Children are given an individual presentation for making the Sign of Our Faith correctly and reverently.

While, in the other part of the Atrium, one little boy enjoys a thoughtful moment before the reflective pool.

And another little boy rings the bells of Mass.

And still another dresses the priest in his priestly robes.

And a teacher explains and demonstrates the holy use of the chalice to a young girl.

The Atrium is a busy, functioning, reverent place of wonder and awe. It's purpose is to allow children a place to touch, see, smell, hear, and taste the awesomeness of our Catholic faith and learn the Bible stories in a practical, meaningful way.
