I walked into the living room this morning with an armload of picture books and announced to my youngest, "Let's put the Nintendo DS away, honey, and we'll read our library books."
She didn't disconnect her curls from the game device but replied cheerfully, "Ok, momma, but wait one second while I fall into this volcano. I'll be killed, but it'll be really quick...I promise."
